This Privacy Policy explains how Hunni Digital (“Hunni Digital”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, retains and protects personal information when you visit hunni.digital (the “Site”), subscribe to our emails, or contact us about our services. We are committed to handling personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) where it applies, and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). By using the Site or providing us with personal information, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Hunni Digital is a digital design and marketing studio based in British Columbia, Canada. We are responsible for the personal information under our control and have designated a Privacy Officer who is accountable for our compliance with this policy. 2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you complete one of our inquiry or contact forms, subscribe to our email list, or email us directly, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your first name, email address, phone number, business or website name, the content of your message, and whether you have agreed to receive marketing emails.
Client information. If you become a client, we also collect the information reasonably required to deliver our services, such as billing and payment details, project briefs, brand assets, platform or account access you grant us, and our correspondence with you.
Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, actions taken on the Site, and the date and time of your visit. This information is collected using cookies, pixels and similar technologies, as described in “Cookies and analytics” below.
Information from third parties. We may receive information about you from the service providers and platforms we use to operate our business, such as our email, form and advertising providers, and from publicly available sources when researching a prospective client.
3. How we use your information
We collect, use and disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, including to: respond to your inquiries and prepare proposals and quotes; provide, manage and improve our services; communicate with you about your inquiry or engagement; send you marketing emails where you have consented; operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site; measure the effectiveness of our website and advertising; keep business, financial and tax records; and comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.
We rely on your consent, which may be express or implied depending on the sensitivity of the information and the circumstances, to collect, use and disclose your personal information. We will only send you commercial electronic messages, such as newsletters or promotional emails, where you have given us express or implied consent as permitted by CASL. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice.
4. Cookies and analytics
The Site uses cookies, pixels and similar technologies. Some are strictly necessary for the Site to function. Others help us understand how visitors use the Site and measure the effectiveness of our advertising. We use Google Tag Manager to manage these tools, and the Meta Pixel to measure the results of our advertising on Meta platforms (such as Facebook and Instagram) and to show relevant ads to people who have visited the Site. Analytics information is generally reviewed in aggregate form. When you first visit the Site, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies using our cookie banner. If you decline, we will not use the Meta Pixel or analytics tools for advertising measurement on your visit. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage how Meta uses information for ads in your Facebook or Instagram ad settings. Disabling some cookies may affect how the Site works.
5. When we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share personal information only as follows:
• with service providers that process information on our behalf and under contractual obligations of confidentiality and security, including Framer (website hosting and forms), Klaviyo (email marketing), Google (analytics and tag management) and Meta Platforms (advertising measurement);
• with our professional advisors, such as accountants, lawyers and insurers, where reasonably necessary;
• in connection with an actual or proposed merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of our business, subject to confidentiality obligations; and
• where required or permitted by law, including to comply with a subpoena, court order or other legal process, or to protect our rights, property or safety or that of others.
6. Storage and international transfers
We are based in Canada, but some of our service providers store and process personal information in the United States and other countries. When personal information is stored or processed outside Canada, it is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction and may be accessible to the courts, law-enforcement and national-security authorities of that jurisdiction. We use contractual and other measures to require our service providers to protect personal information to a standard comparable to this Privacy Policy.
7. How long we keep information
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required or permitted by law. As a general guide: inquiry and prospect information is kept for up to 24 months after our last contact; client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and for at least seven years afterward for tax, accounting and legal purposes; and email marketing information is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When personal information is no longer required, we securely delete, destroy or de-identify it.
8. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including access controls, encryption of data in transit and the use of reputable service providers, to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use, disclosure, copying or modification. No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach of security safeguards involving your personal information creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
9. Your rights and choices
Subject to certain legal exceptions, you have the right to: request access to the personal information we hold about you and information about how it has been used and disclosed; request that we correct personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete; withdraw your consent to our collection, use or disclosure of your personal information, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice (which may affect our ability to provide services to you); and unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

We will respond within the time required by applicable law, generally within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
10. Children’s privacy
The Site and our services are directed to businesses and adults and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
11. Third-party links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites, platforms and tools that we do not own or control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any third-party site before providing personal information to it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, our services or applicable law. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and, where required by law, notify you or obtain your consent.
